Courting and betrothal

Going all in is a lot deeper than most people think. It’s beyond commitment by light years. I love my wife. I am committed to death. I am not yet all in — I desperately intend to be. In a year from now I will love her more than I could possibly imagine. Ten years […]

second and third dates

First dates are always awkward in some way or another. If you make it to your second date you’ll have a much better chance of getting to know someone, there still might be some reservations but this is where infatuation really sets in. The third date is where it gets a little tricky, all things […]

The beginning

First days are always long and usually awkward. I’ve never enjoyed the standard, turn taking, “Hi my name is–I’m interesting because…” While today yesterday was just that, there was with it a sense of openness that is rarely accompanied. Maybe it’s just that I’m older now and have some kind of confidence (though honestly I […]

Self Portrait – Day 15

Day 15 was hard. The idea I had was not coming together and I was getting really frustrated (Which I foresee happening more and more as this goes on as I use up all my ideas) So this was my back up, which I took laying on my couch trying to figure what I was […]

Insecurity/Intimidation

So let me tell you this, I am not a good photographer and I am certainly not creative. Now I don’t want to say that just to get some response. My intention is that of a humble admission to myself. I’ve spent the last four hours watching a good photographer work; it was inspiring […]

Skimboarding

Thanks to some of the guys at Skookum Surf Co. I had the opportunity to get some shots of these guys enjoying a day at the beach. I’ve always enjoyed skim boarding myself but these guys definitely took it farther then me and my brother ever could with our plywood-spray-painted boards.
